The TSU Women's Center offers dialogues and discussions for administration, faculty, staff, students, and community pertaining to gender, gender-identity development, gender violence.
GOALS: At the Women's Center, we believe that at the core of the female community are relationships.
Our center seeks to build this community by providing space for students to connect and build relationships.
Through curricular and co-curricular programs, the Women's Center encourages students to connect scholarship from the classroom to real world problems, to consider alternative frameworks for judgment and action, and to draw meaning from experiences that push them to critique theory from practice and practice from theory.
The Women's Center objective is to empower female students in the personally, academically, and professionally through mentoring partnerships.
2016 is the first year that the TSU Women’s Center will introduce and provide workshops to address financial issues that may arise in their personal, professional, family and community lives of administration, faculty, staff, and students.
The TSU Women’s Center will collaborate with the TSU Career Center and Nashville community organizations on topics such basic financial literacy and financial independence.

Staff are located on the second floor and in the center of the Floyd Payne Campus Center.
Students will have the opportunity to be mentored throughout the year by Tennessee State University administration, faculty, staff and alumni.
